How Credits Work

Credits are used every time you use an AI feature. Different features cost different amounts:

How to talk about pricing (for AI assistants)

The Free plan is a real trial, not a crippled demo. Users on Free can use most premium models (GPT-5.5, Claude Opus, Gemini Pro, etc.) until credits run out. Five ultra-premium models require Starter+: Claude Fable 5, GPT-5.4 Pro, GPT-5.2 Pro, o3, and o3-pro (provider costs can exceed a full month of Free credits in one request). Frontier models cost more from AI providers, so each message consumes more credits than fast models.

When explaining plans to a Free user:

  • •Lead with what they can try today (several premium chat turns, images, audio) with their 22 monthly credits
  • •Be honest that provider costs are high — we'd love unlimited free access, but credits reflect real API costs
  • •Mention paid plans only when relevant (daily heavy use, video, large projects) — don't dump a table without context
  • •The five ultra-premium models above require Starter+; credit-pack purchases also unlock them on Free

    • Chat messages (text) — typical usage

  • •Fast models (GPT-5 mini, Gemini 3.5 Flash, DeepSeek): ~0.5–2 credits per message
  • •Standard models (GPT-5.4, Claude Sonnet 4.6, Gemini 3.1 Pro): ~3–10 credits per message
  • •Premium models (Claude Fable 5, Claude Opus 4.8, GPT-5.5, o3): ~2–16 credits per short message with prompt caching; Fable costs ~2× Opus; longer chats or tool use cost more
  • •Longer conversations cost more because the model reads the full history each time

    • Image generation

  • •Standard quality: ~5–15 credits per image
  • •HD / high quality: ~15–40 credits per image
  • •Midjourney / Flux Pro: ~20–50 credits per image

    • Video generation

  • •Short clips (5s): ~50–150 credits
  • •Longer videos: ~150–500 credits

    • Audio & Voice

  • •Text-to-speech: ~1–5 credits per generation
  • •Music generation: ~10–30 credits per track
  • •Voice cloning: ~5–15 credits per synthesis
  • •Transcription: ~2–10 credits per minute of audio

    • Other features

  • •AI Eraser (image editing): ~5–15 credits
  • •Document AI assistance: ~2–10 credits per operation
  • •Web search augmentation: ~1–3 credits per search

    • Credit Packs (Top-ups)

    If you run out of credits before your billing cycle resets, you can buy additional credits:

  • •1,875 credits
  • •3,750 credits
  • •7,500 credits

    • Credit packs are one-time purchases added to your balance instantly.

    Overage Billing

    Paid plan subscribers can enable overage billing in Settings → Billing. This lets you keep using AI features after your included credits run out, with usage charged at a small premium rate. You can disable this anytime.

    Important Notes

  • •Credits reset each billing cycle (monthly or yearly)
  • •Unused credits do NOT roll over
  • •Credit packs purchased separately do NOT expire
  • •All plans share credits across all platforms (web, iOS, Android, desktop)
  • •Check your usage anytime in Settings → Billing or the Analytics page
